HIBISCUS SYRIACUS
Origen: sur y Este de Asia
La rosa de Siria o altea es un hibisco caducifolio que puede alcanzar los 3,5 metros de altura y podarse para formar un pequeño arbolito.
Es el más resistente de todos los hibiscos, soportando heladas severas.
Hay muchos cultivares de flores rosas, malva, blancas... así como de flores simples o dobles, como los ejemplares de Recregarden.

It´s a deciduous hibiscus which grows to 3,5 metres tall. It can become a little tree if prune to this shape.
It´s the most frost hardy of all hibiscus, withstanding with no problems heavy frosts.
There are many cultivars: flowers can be pink, mauve, white... as well as simple or double, as Recregarden´s cultivars.
