Origen: India (aunque muy extendida por el sureste asiático porque las semillas flotan y han colonizado otros países)

Esta cyca tiene un crecimiento relativamente rápido y puede alcanzar los 5 metros de altura, generalnente con un solo tronco.

Sólo soporta heladas ligeras y cortas.
