LA NOCHE DE LOS "CACTUS DE LA LUNA"
Los Selenicereus (cactus de la luna) se llaman así porque florecen de noche. Las flores, de gran tamaño, se abren al anochecer y se cierran al amanecer permaneciendo abiertas una sola noche.
Esta pasada noche ha florecido por primera vez Selenicereus grandiflorus (fotos 1 a 3) y también lo ha hecho (aunque por cuarto año) Selenicereus anthonyanus.

THE MOON CACTI NIGHT
Selenicereus (Moon Cacti) are so called because they bloom at nigt. The big flowers open at sundown and close at dawn. They keep open just a single night.
This last night Selenicereus grandiflorus bloomed for first time (pictures 1 to 3) and Selenicereus anthonyanus for fourth year.
